🌻 High Season Period

The following days will be subject to high season pricing:

• Weekends and public holidays
• July 20 (Sun) to August 31 (Sun), 2025

During this time, an additional fee will be charged on top of the regular rental price:

➤ Kei Van: +¥500 per 3 hours
➤ HiAce Van: +¥700 per 3 hours

For example, a 6-hour rental of a Kei Van will include an additional ¥1,000.

The Summer Season (August) is expected to be especially busy, with the whole island coming alive with art.

Bookings for weekends in July and August are already coming in.
During the Spring Season, all rental cars on the island were fully booked — many visitors had no choice but to rely on the limited bus service.

🚗 Shodoshima is Best Explored by Rental Car

Shodoshima is larger than many people expect, and art installations are spread across the island.
It often takes 30 to 60 minutes by car between major locations.

If you plan to visit three or more areas, renting a car is the most convenient (and often necessary) option.

📅 Bookings Open 90 Days in Advance

At Necovan Trip, you can reserve your car up to 90 days in advance.
Bookings for July and August are steadily increasing.
